This qualification provides training to the farmers, who are already working in farms but do not have a recognized qualification or adequate knowledge in Horticulture. Holders of this qualification will obtain a broad knowledge and skills based on to work as a competent field specialist and specialized as farmer. Those who graduate with this qualification can proceed to Certificate III in Production Horticulture. Some of the career paths lead to farm hands, field assistants, nursery man, field technicians, farm managers and any other job which deals with vegetable. This qualification provides learners with competencies, knowledge and skills with farm experiences as per demand by the current job market. Learners would gain competencies, skills and knowledge in nursery establishment safety procedures operating various hand tools, mechanical tools, farm implements, machines and machinery.
Requirements
